\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The 3<\/span>rd<\/span> macromolecular crystallographic school <\/span>South-East Asian Crystallographic Overview And Systematic Training<\/b> 2024<\/b> (SEA COAST 2024)<\/b> will take place at the King Mongkut\u2019s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) in Bangkok, Thailand, From January 29 to February 7, 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0It is organized jointly by KMUT, and Collaborative Computational Project No.4 (CCP4), STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, UK.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The school is designed for graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and young scientists both from academia and industry, who have a background in protein X-ray crystallography or are interested in it. <\/span> A big part of the school is dedicated to hands-on sessions, where the participants will work on their own data and structures with one-on-one assistance from the world\u2019s renowned experts. <\/b><\/p>\n For the FIRST time, the SEA COAST participants will have an opportunity to collect data from their own crystals at the world-leading beamlines at Diamond Light Source (UK). <\/b><\/p>\n The school will include lectures on Cryo Electron Microscopy and Neutron Crystallography as well, to explain the fundamentals of these methods, and discuss some details of experimentation.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div> The workshop is mainly intended for applicants from the Southeast Asian region, but applications from elsewhere will also be considered.Graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, academic and industrial staff who are primed for structural biology and X-ray crystallography-based research are eligible to <\/span>apply<\/span><\/a>. <\/span>The application will be closed on December 15, 2023 and the selection results will be announced on December 22, 2023.<\/b> The 30 selected applicants will be responsible for registration fees for participation in the SEA COAST as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
