Wat Arun, meaning the Temple of Dawn, is situated on the west side of Chao Praya river. It is one of the most stunning temples in Bangkok. The design was inspired by Mount Meru, the center of the world in Buddhist cosmology. The architecture was made up of colorfully decorated spires and stands majestically by the river. The temple is absolutely gorgeous at sunset, especially lit up at night. Apart from vising the temple inside, it is highly recommended that you take a ferry across the river from Wat Arun to Ta Tien station and observe the beauty of the temple from far sight.

Important note: Make sure you wear appropriate clothing. Pants or dress/skirt must extend knee length. Top has to fully cover shoulders. No bare foot.
How to get there from KMUTT: The best way to get there is by express boat. First off, take bus no.75 from KMUTT to Rajsingkorn temple. Get on the Chao Praya express boat from there to Wat Arun Pier.
