Wat Traimit or the Temple of Golden Buddha is located in the China town area. The Golden Buddha statue is the largest solid Golden Buddha in the world and approximately 700 – 800 years old. The statue is more than 3 meters height and weighs about 5.5 tons.

Operating hours: 8:00 am – 17:00 pm except Mondays
Admission fee for foreigners: Temple complex admission is free. Admission to the Golden Buddha is 40 Baht.
Important note: Make sure you wear appropriate clothing. Pants or dress/skirt must extend knee length. Top has to fully cover shoulders. No bare foot.
How to get there from KMUTT: The best way to get there is to take Uber or Taxi. By bus: Take bus no.75 from KMUTT to Songwad station. Head north by walking along Charoenkrung. Turn right onto Traimit Road. The temple will be on your left.
